Update Regarding Beta Lottery

Featured Replies

Hello,

We were made aware at 1:48am EST this morning (February 28th, 2026) that the Beta Invite emails we sent out as part of our initial wave of Beta Lottery Invites inadvertently included the email addresses of all 200 accounts that were selected.

These emails were sent at 8:53pm EST yesterday, February 27th, 2026.

This occurred due to an error in the code used to configure the sending of this first tranche of emails. The issue was not caught as part of a quality assurance process, and subsequently shared the email addresses amongst all recipients.

The service used in this email tranche did not provide us with the option of recalling unopened emails.

We sincerely apologize for the error. It is our intent to always safeguard our players' and community's personal information and ensure their safety online.

We are actively taking the following steps to rectify the situation and prevent future errors of this sort:

  • We immediately contacted our legal counsel to assist us with ensuring compliance with data protection standards

  • We are switching service providers for use in this and similar systems/initiatives

  • We are contacting everyone affected in this tranche of emails and providing them with contact information, should they have questions or concerns (help@nicheworldscult.com)

  • We are implementing new Quality Assurance/Testing protocols to ensure we catch this type of issue prior to sending any future invites

Again, we take the safety of your personal information seriously, and work diligently to ensure that we do not repeat this mistake in the future.

Thank you and please contact us if you have questions.
